Absolute Theatre and Director James Douglass announce the cast for its February production, THE AMISH PROJECT.
Kami Sim will portray all the characters portrayed in this fictional exploration of the Nickel Mines schoolhouse shooting in an Amish community, and the path of forgiveness and compassion forged in its wake.
Sim has a BFA in Theatre Performance from North Dakota State University and was an apprentice company member in the Great River Shakespeare Festival where she appeared as Valeria and Young Martius in Coriolanus and understudied Phebe and Le Beau in As You Like It. Kami appeared as Evonne Goolagong in Absolute's Theatre's Frost/Nixon earlier this season.
The production is directed by Absolute Theatre Founding Director, James Douglass (Frost/Nixon) and stage managed by Patricia Barrier who recently choreographed and served as the puppeteer for Absolute Theatre's Dead Man's Cell Phone.
THE AMISH PROJECT opens Feb. 2, 2017 and performs Feb. 3, 4 and 9-11. All shows begin at 7 p.m. The show has strong language and mature themes, including descriptions of violence. Tickets go on sale Jan. 5, 2017.
