ABOUT: When twenty-something star sex blogger Ethan tracks down his idol, the gifted but obscure forty-ish novelist Olivia, he finds they each crave what the other possesses. As attraction turns to sex, and they inch closer to getting what they want, both must confront the dark side of ambition and the trouble of reinventing oneself when the past is only a click away.
DETAILS: 1 woman, 1 man. Non-Equity; all performers will receive a stipend of $15/performance with potential bonuses at ticket benchmarks.
All roles are open including:
OLIVIA [Female Lead; 40]
Olivia is a college professor; she no longer publishes her novels after being stung by a small number of poor reviews. Nonetheless, she writes and craves sharing her stories publicly once more.
ETHAN [Male Lead; 28]
Ethan is a bro who has sex with strangers and blogs about his experiences. As he tires of that persona, he craves a greater literary existence, telling larger stories while having more meaningful intimate relationships.
NOTE: The ages listed are suggested in the script; we will consider all actors able to perform characters of these approximate ages. While there will be no nudity in the production, there are sensual moments requiring physical contact. Absolute Theatre will provide an Intimacy Coach to ensure the comfort and safety of all actors. We strongly encourage all ethnicities to audition for all productions.
